Quiksilver

The surf brand, Quiksilver, was first established in Australia in 1970 although now holds its headquarters at Huntington Beach, California.

Their original aim was merely to manufacture board shorts, and be better than everyone else at doing so. However this initial goal has now progressed into a mission “to become the leading global youth apparel company; to maintain our core focus and roots while bringing our lifestyle message of board riding, independence, creativity and innovation to this global community.”

Quiksilver Clothing

Quiksilver signature board shorts have a Velcro fly fastening and are higher at the back than the front, meaning that they hang low on the hips of the wearer while still gripping their back snugly. The logo depicts a wave and a mountain, which illustrates the fact that since the 1970s the company has progressed from just a surf wear company to a company which caters for all board sports, however, still keeping surfing at their heart. For almost four decades they mainly provided surf wear and other such apparel for just men, however in 2008 they launched a clothing line for women, this women’s range includes knitwear, dresses, t shirts and denim products.

The whole Quiksilver range holds young men and women’s clothing lines, a large selection of signature board shorts, footwear, wetsuits and technical accessories such as watches, eyewear, goggles and helmets.
