DVS

DVS is a skate brand based in Torrance, California which was founded in 1995 by Kevin Dunlap and professional skateboarder Tim Gavin and is now owned by the company Podium Distribution. The brand, at first primarily made specialist men’s skate shoes although now have extended their range to cover footwear for women and children, and styles such as slippers, sandals and more mainstream fashion designs. In addition to the brand sponsoring various skateboarders, they have reached out to other sports and now sponsor other extreme athletes such as snowboarders, motocross bikers, and surfers. The signature DVS shoe has a classic skate silhouette, and various different features depending on the shoe design, for example, some have bruise control, while others have elasticated support or even a breathable mesh integrated into the shoe.

DVS Skate Shoes

As DVS focus solely on shoes, they are able to concentrate on adding features to make the experience of wearing the shoes as good as they can possibly be and make skating in them an amazing feeling. Fabrics used across the range vary from suede to leather and come in colours which include blue, white, black, brown, grey, red, orange, green, yellow, maroon and silver. The women’s range contains Mary-Jane inspired styles of shoe along with some skate styles and other feminine footwear designs.
