The American footwear company, DC Shoes, was first established in 1993 and is holds its headquarters in Vista, California. Although the DC originally stood for “Droors Clothing”, Quiksilver have since acquired the company which is no longer tied in any way to Droors, a company which now no longer exists.

DC provide shoes for skateboarding and a line of snow-boarding boots they also have a range of clothing comprised of, although not restricted to, shirts, jackets, jeans and hats for men women and children (the women’s range also includes a line of dresses and skirts). DC even provide an extensive range of snowboards.

DC Skate Shoes

As expected, these shoes and clothes are very popular in the skateboarding community, although they are also adored by many figures in the public eye. From singers and musicians such as Lil Wayne and Mike Shinoda (Linkin park) to actors including Adam Sandler who reportedly wears DC clothing and footwear in many of his movies. Travis Barker of Blink-182 and +44 fame has his own range of shoes and hats which go by the name of DC Travis Barker remix.

The shoes come in a variety of colours however each shoe is produced in the classic DC style, an exception of this are the women’s sandals and the snowboarding boots.
