Kaiser Chiefs

The Kaiser Chiefs have only been on the go for a short while but have become one of the most popular bands in Britain, winning lots of awards and cementing their recent success with a huge gig at Elland Road football stadium. The band consists of Ricky Wilson (vocals), Andrew White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Nick “Peanut” Baines (keyboard) and Nick Hodgeson (drums). They formed in 1997 as Runston Parva, later known as Parva. They renamed themselves to Kaiser Chiefs after a South African football team. Debut album Employment was released in 2005 – the album included songs such as I Predict a Riot, Oh my God (which was later covered by Lilly Allen and Mark Ronson) and Everyday I Love You Less and Less. Second album Yours Truly, Angry Mob was released in 2007 and included songs such as Ruby and The Angry Mob. The band played at Elland Road Stadium on May 24 2008 and were supported by Kate Nash and The Enemy. A third album is on its way! Kaiser Chiefs have released two albums: Employment (2005) and Yours Truly Angry Mob (2007)
