Zoo York clothing
Zoo York is a New York brand created in the early 1970s from Manhattan’s Riverside Park which built a thriving scene or aerosols and skateboards.
By the 1980s, Zoo York had come to firmly symbolise New Yorks underground subculture of artists, b-boys, skateboarders, and punks.
In 1993 skateboarders Rodney Smith, Eli Morgan Gessner, and Adam Schatz began designing a simple line of decks and T-shirts. This then grew into a full blown streetwear collection.
Today Zoo York is a global brand with East Coast attitude heavily influenced by skateboarding, graffiti, hip-hop, and punk. The Manhattan-based brand has a wide range of casual, military-influenced overtones combined with iconic Zoo York City imagery to capture the raw essence of New York for men, women, and youths.
