The Maya Shawl offered as this month’s prize is a beautiful and versatile item that I would love to own!
The superb embroidery and excellent workmanship make it a very chic and stylish piece. It would look fantastic over Evening wear but would equally could also be worn more casually with jeans. (It would also make a most impressive table runner or throw – but personally I’d much rather drape myself in it than my furniture!)
As it is made from Alpaca it will be lovely and warm yet soft, light and hardwearing.
You will also get a warm glow inside while wearing it as by buying it you are are supporting the weavers and their families in Bolivia.
The shawl is available in a good selection of colours although my favourite is the gorgeous rich turquoise (Azul).
All that remains is if I’m lucky enough to win it to persuade my husband to take me somewhere to do it justice!
