Scary Miss Mary
The Scary Miss Mary clothing brand is based on a comic of the same name written by Jill Friemark. The daughter of a knife throwing magician, it is evident that Miss Mary also has a fascination with sharp pointy objects. Her main friend is her creepy talking doll, Edward, who was brought to life by magic by her father the magician. Upon first hearing him talk, Mary puts a knife through his body to see if he really is alive.
In the clothing line, Miss Mary is often seen with a sharp object of some kind, looking adorable with a cute slogan of some kind placed somewhere on the design. One example of such a design is one which depicts Mary with a large kitchen knife hidden behind her back with the words “Thinking of you” underneath. What makes Miss Mary scary is the fact that she has the appearance of a sweet little child however added to the threat of large knives and her various sadistic tendencies, Miss Mary suddenly becomes rather disturbing.
