The Big Chill: August 1-3
This chill out festival goes on at Eastnor castle in Herefordshire and headliners this year include Roots Manuva, Bomb the Bass and The Mighty Boosh.
Live at Loch Lomond: August 2-3
Live at Loch Lomond is Scotland’s newest music festival and this year includes acts such as the Sex Pistols, Happy Mondays and Ocean Colour Scene.
V Festival: August 16-17
One of the biggest festivals in the UK, V attracts many pop and rock acts within its two sites. Acts in 2008 include: Ian Brown, Kaiser Chiefs and Muse.
Leeds/Reading Festival: August 22-24
Another festival that is held on two sites simultaneously, Leeds/Reading sees a of music and comedy acts over the space of three days. Headliners this year include: Rage Against the Machine, Metallica and The Killers.
Creamfields 2008: August 23-24
2008 sees the tenth anniversary of this dance festival. Acts this year include Fatboy Slim, Underworld and Soulwax.

The festival season is now in full swing! We got a lot of feedback about our article on June festivals, so now check out the festivals that are on in July!
Wireless Festival – 3-6 July
This festival is sponsored by 02 and held in Hyde Park. Headliners this year include Mark Ronson, Beck and Fatboy Slim.
Wakestock – 4-6 July
This Welsh festival mixes watersports and cool music! Key acts include Duffy, Hadouken and the Happy Mondays.
T in the Park – 11-13 July
This popular Scottish festival sees a lot of trendy bands storm the stage year in, year out. Headliners this year include the Verve and Amy Winehouse.
Latitude – 17-20 July
This English festival has only been on the go two years but is seeing people attend in their droves! Headliners in 2008 include Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros and Interpol.
Lovebox Weekender – 19-20 July
Headliners at this awesome dance-indie festival include Goldfrapp, Groove Armada and the Flaming Lips
Global Gathering – 25-26 July
If you like dance and chill-out music, this is the only festival you need to attend this summer! Acts playing include Moby and 2manydjs.

Hooray – it’s festival season! It wouldn’t be the Summer without attending at least one festival, so grab your wellies, pack the icebox full of beer and burgers and check out Other Clothing’s recommendations for festivals in June 2008!
7th/8th June – Rockness
A festival right on the banks of Loch Ness, sure you might not see Nessy, but you will see awesome acts such as Fatboy Slim and Razorlight.
12th/15th June – Isle of Wight Festival
This festival sells out quickly almost year so if you’re lucky enough to get tickets you’ll be able to see brilliant bands like the Kaiser Chiefs and The Killers.
13th/15th June – Download
The daddy of the rock festivals, this festival weekend used to be known as the Monsters of Rock in the 1980s. Headliners this year include Kiss and the Offspring.
14th/22nd June – Meltdown
Massive Attack are the artistic directors for this festival, so you know it’s going to be a good ‘un! Elbow and punk rockers Stiff Little Fingers are set to play.
27th/29th June – Wakestock
Bands such as Groove Armada, The Streets and producer-in-extremis Mark Ronson are taking to the stage at the Oxfordshire festival
27th/29th June – Glastonbury
Possibly the most well-known festival in the UK, if not the world, this festival takes place on a farm. Headliners this year include Jay-Z, Amy Winehouse and Kings of Leon. Prepare for mud!
