Britney Spears - Piece Of Me - Single Review

Is it me, or is Britney starting to resemble Brandine out of the Simpsons? All these stories about dating paparrazo’s, being stretchered out of her house and generally acting like a bit of a fruitcake make me think that now probably isn’t the best time to try and resurrect her music career.

The premise of this song is that Britney is belittling the media, telling them to back off and leave her alone. I’d take this seriously if it wasn’t for Britney getting out of cars without her knickers on.

As diabolical as previous single Gimme More was… at least it had one reedeeming feature compared to this… it was relatively catchy. Arrogant lyrics, weird vocoder effects and a predictable video make this tune one to avoid.

Harsh words I know but this is music from someone way past their prime.
