Nickelback - All The Right Reasons - Album Review

In 2001 Nickelback released single How you remind me - a song which got into everyone’s heads and wouldn’t get out. Now that they’ve done the same with the irritating-yet-strangely-brilliant-at-the-same-time Rockstar, how will their most recent album fare?

The starting title track on the album isn’t the best start - it sounds very eighties and the lyrics are a little bit naff. Animals is a feisty shouty track that you can stomp around your room to and Next Contestant is the most modern-sounding song on the album, with a funky guitar riff. The rest of the album though is unfortunately typical soft-rock ballad fare.

Rockstar aside, this album isn’t that brilliant - the music on it is very old-sounding and for the most part, the lyrics are a little clumsy. I’m afraid this is an album for only the most hard-core Nickelback fans.
