Adele - Chasing Pavement - Single Review

If you’ve read all the newspapers and listened to all the radio shows you’ll hear that Adele Adkins is predicted to be the next big thing - a more soulful, less smelly version of Amy Winehouse. She was awarded with the Brit Awards Critics’ Choice, as well as coming top of a BBC6 Music poll. Therefore I was quite excited about her most recent single.

However - admittedly I wasn’t that impressed. Sure, she has a fantastic voice for someone so young, but Chasing Pavement isn’t one of those songs that is going to change your life. It’s a nice tune… but I can’t help but think that the Emperor has no clothes on here.

The single can be found on Adele’s debut album 19 (2008).
