Jedidiah is a southern californian brand founded in 2001. They saw the alternative fashion scene as a breeding ground for greed and addiction, so decided to make a difference.

Jedidiah embarked on a path of trying to touch the hearts of people through clothing.

Cast your mind back to 2006 - when a unheard of band called Gnarls Barkley stayed at the top of the UK charts for a whole nine weeks with debut hit Crazy. They have just released their second album and seem to be going from strength to strength.

Gnarls Barkley consists of musician and producer Dangermouse and singer Cee-Lo Green. They met in 2003 and started collaberating together - with a lot of the songs making it onto their first album St. Elsewhere. Singles released from this album included Crazy, Smiley Faces and Gone Daddy Gone.

The Odd Couple was released on the 25 March this year, a week earlier than anticipated due to the album being leaked on the internet.

The band love dressing up, be it for interviews or live appearances. They have appeared on stage as chefs, doctors, schoolboys and even as characters from the Wizard of Oz!

Gnarls Barkley have released two albums: St. Elsewhere (2006) and The Odd Couple (2008)

Let me start this album review off by telling you a story. In 2005 I went to see the White Stripes in Blackpool where they were supported by a band called the Greenhornes - who were a bit rubbish. I listened to them for about two minutes and then hotfooted it to the bar.

It turns out that the Raconteurs are Jack White plus the members of the Greenhornes, which doesn’t bode too well. I really liked Steady As She Goes but the rest of debut album Broken Boy Soldiers left me cold.

Consolers of the Lonely is a lot better - soley for the reason that it sounds very bluesy and garagey. In fact… a lot of the tracks wouldn’t have sounded out of place on a White Stripes album. Particular tracks I liked included the opening title track, Top Yourself and Rich Kid Blues.

Some tracks on the album didn’t work - You Don’t Understand Me was as dull as dishwater whilst Old Enough was a bit cheesey. It’s not the greatest album, but hey ho, it could have been worse.

The Raconteurs have released two albums: Broken Boy Soldiers (2006) and Consolers of the Lonely (2008).

Alkaline Trio are the American trio who have been around for years but still manage to make fresh and catchy music.

The band consists of Matt Skiba (vocals, guitar), Dan Andriano (bass) and Derek Grant (drums) and was formed in 1996. They released albums Goddamnit in 1998 and Maybe I’ll Catch Fire in 2000, as well as Alkaline Trio, a compilation of some of their earlier eps.

From Here to Infirmary was released in 2001 - this album contained their breakthrough single Stupid Kid. Good Mourning was released in 2003 and Crimson was released in 2005, which included the awesome single Burn. Remains, which is a collection of b-sides and rarities was released in 2007. The band released a remasted edition of Goddamnit in March this year to celebrate its ten year anniversary.

Alkaline Trio are currently working on their latest album which is due to be released in the summer - and we at Other Clothing just know it’s gonna be a good ‘un!
